Children learn new things every day. In the process of learning and exploring new things, they come across various troublesome situations. Such situations also bring unexpected challenges in front of parents where their attention becomes the priority. 1.Shyness: As children grow up they meet other children of their age in neighborhood or in school. Many gets involved with other kids but a few of them want to be alone and avoid engaging into any activity. Some children are shy and take time to mix up with other children to make friends or converse with them.

Solution: To handle this kind of situation, observe the child. If he/she refuses to engage with others, talk to them and tell them that it is fun to make friends. It is equally important not to force your child to converse or play with someone. Sometimes, two shy kids end up becoming good friends.

2.  Addiction to Digital Device: Our lives are highly dependent on digital devices but with kids it can be a big problem. They spend hours and hours in playing video games, watching videos etc. If parents refuse them, they get angry and cry hysterically.

Solution: Parents have introduced digital devices to children and it’s their job to rectify this habit of their child. In such a scenario, parents can introduce activities to children. Play with them with full of excitement. If outdoor activities are not possible then play board games where parents can participate too. You can set the limit for digital devices.

3. Inapt Eating Habits: Parents are quite unhappy with their child’s eating habits these days. They do not eat vegetables and healthy foods. Instead opt for snacks, sweets etc which are extremely unhealthy in the long run. Burgers, pizzas, and other junk food is their top list whenever they step out of their house.

Solution: In order to overcome this problem, always remember, not to force your child. Interact with your children and explain them the side effects of continuous consumption of junk food. You can show them examples of obesity and healthy troubles around you. Also, include your child in kitchen activities, this way they come to know that preparing healthy food is a time-taking process. They will value your effects and slowly get into habit of eating home cooked food.

4. Unwillingness to Study: Every parent struggle with their child on completing the homework or study for examination. They put all efforts to involve their children in studies for instance – by scolding or forcing them to sit for the limited time amount. However, all efforts go in vain, when child is not inclined.

Solution: You can talk to your child and ask him/her what they actually like in school. Once you get to know their likings, adopt those things in teaching a specific subject. By applying the real-life examples, you can create a magic. This way you are developing their interest in studies. It is also important to be patient, excited and enthusiastic when you start a new topic with them.

5. Constant Complaining: Amongst several common problems parents face with children, constant habit of making complains is also most seen. They even cry and whine for petty things. An incident in school or playing with other child or at home, instigate a child to complain throughout.

Solution: By complaining and whining, child wants to avail your undue attention. It is better to spend some time in listening to your child patiently. Hear them carefully and give them the solution. Slowly and gradually, educate them to communicate the problems in the correct way in place of whining every time.

6. Aggression: Aggression is also commonly seen in children which is result of single parenting at times. When your child’s actions are not checked, child gets into habit of getting angry quickly. They even scream and shouts which ultimately, can cause stress to the parents.

Solution: If your child is in anger then there must be some reason behind this behavior. By talking to them, you will come to the entire situation. How he feels when you are not home? Parents need to understand that child finds nobody to share the feelings with. So, give time to them. You can also contact a professional for anger management.

7. Lying: Children often lie one time or the other. Parents are smart and able to make out that their children are lying. However, if this has become the continuous habit then left unchecked can cause a severe problem in future.

Solution: Scolding or beating your child is not the solution to cope with this problem. Let your child know that you can make out the lie easily. Ask him/her not to be scared in telling truth even if a mistake is committed. It is important to win the confidence of your child.

8. Consistent Tantrums: If your child throws the tantrums, it is quite annoying for parents. The height of this behavior rose to such an extent that they won’t listen to you, throw things and dongle even calm down. Such behavior creates a chaos in house.

Solution: It is crucial not to lose calmness. Tell your child to stop crying. Until then, carry on with your activities and once he stops crying, listen to him and ask him what he wants. Also, tell him that you are always available to listen to him once he stops crying.
