Delhi School of Excellence Selection Process:

The class-wise selection procedure followed at the Delhi School of Excellence is given below:

Nursery to III:

  • An online computerized draw of lots at the HQ level by a Committee under the Chairmanship of the Director of Education
  • The result of the Online Draw of Lots for various categories appears as the selected and waitlisted candidates.
  • The result is generated at Headquarters (Directorate of Education). And one can access the result at the official site or school notice board.

Class IX:

  • Candidate must be a resident of Delhi and have cleared class VIII from Govt. /Govt Aided/Recognised Unaided Schools.
  • The candidate will appear for the entrance exam and based on the performance, the merit list will be prepared.

Class XI:

  • Candidate must be a resident of Delhi and cleared class X under the academic session 2022-23 from Government/Government Aided/Unaided recognized Schools of Directorate of Education/NDMC/Delhi Cantonment Board Schools of Delhi.
  • Besides this, the candidate will appear in the entrance test and may also for an Interview as well, if required.

Delhi School of Excellence Admission 2024 Exam Pattern:

The entrance test will commence for class IX and a merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the written test. Here are the details about the examination pattern:

  • The Paper will consist of Objective type questions
  • Questions will be included on numerical & mental ability, General Knowledge, Language comprehension, and Descriptive type in Hindi and English.
  • Students will get 140 minutes to complete the paper
  • There will be no negative marking.
