  5. Change and Transition: Change as well as transition are common aspects of life and can be distressing at the same time. The current changes have increased the odds and may persist for a longer time.
  6. Change in Life: The sudden changes in life increase stress and anxiety, which creates an imbalance in life and causes depression. Essential change may lead to distress even when the change is beneficial.
  7. Frequent Change in Jobs: It has become common to change jobs these days. More than 50% believe that job changes can be beneficial. Reasons are many behind this belief. More people are satisfied with adjustments in the job change and with the distress that follows.
  8. Weather Adversity: Weather disasters can affect life changes. The recorded change in the weather conditions lead to destruction in the communities. The death rate has increased over the years and caused more damage. Some of them are forced to relocate to overcome the destruction.
  9. Sedentary Lifestyle: As the world is changing and becoming modernized, people spend less time outside. It affects their health. They are prone to isolation which further causes depression. Due to a still lifestyle, poor health, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other health issues. In several countries, a lower rate of physical activity is seen among individuals. They spend most of their time in sitting at one place. With access to media, people spend more time in watching television or videos on mobile.
  10. Excessive Use of Media: The high usage of media by teens and adults affects mental health causing depression. Individuals already facing depression come across vulnerable impacts due to excessive use of social media. And with more use of negative news around the world, depression in people is increasing.
